A Close Call

....Corin gave us all quite a scare yesterday. Outside the castle Ren found a note he left, one which spoke of his 'final mission'. He planned to kill himself. Apparently Mary had a friend, Joo, who knew our secret. Corin, loyal to the Volturi, knew she must either be killed or turned, but when Joo refused, Corin had no other option.
....He must have felt he couldn't live with himself, knowing what he had done to Mary. Although many of us awaited news from him worriedly, Mary found it in herself for him to be forgiven, to the relief of us all here in Volterra. Mary's right, to fear ever visiting, as her decision to let Joo in on the secret was wrong, but I'll let the guards judge anything on that topic. I'm just glad Corin is safe again (we're holding him to his promise), even though he is having a rough time.
....In the end, Mary and Corin were separated from each other, and Corin left to give himself some time to think. All I can do now is hope he comes to the right conclusion, and finally not have to be so stressed anymore.
